Why mini-splits?

When deciding on the installation of a ductless system, consider these questions:
1. Do you currently have a forced hot air or boiler system but find that one or more areas of your living space are always too cold or too hot?
The addition of mini splits is a great way to supplement heat or air conditioning in areas of your home that your current, older system cannot keep up with. If you were to do this by extending your duct system or adding baseboards, this is a very time-consuming and costly method. The installation of a mini split head is much less invasive and it is faster. You may install a head in multiple different areas that you are trying to improve the temperature in.
2. Do you use window units for a source of air conditioning and are they noisy?
Mini split systems are an excellent substitution for window units, as they can be placed up on the wall, virtually out of sight. They may also be mounted on the wall for a more traditional look. This frees up your windows to allow for access to fresh air and more natural light. Our Daikin mini split and heat pump systems run so silently that you hardly ever know they are there. There are also angled flaps that allow you to direct the flow of air in the desired direction, so there is not that same discomfort that window units can create when it is so close to sitting or sleeping areas.
3. Putting an addition on to your house or office?
This is another situation where installing a mini split system would be an extremely beneficial and cost-effective way of adding heat and AC to an area. The alternative is continuing the duct work or baseboards, which is very time-consuming and tedious, and therefore, costly. Adding mini split provide the comfort you need during all the seasons, yet will keep the cost of your renovation down.
4. Are you purchasing an older home?
Sometimes, when buying an older home, the HVAC system is outdated. If the existing system is not meeting your comfort needs, even just adding a single mini split in a main area of the house can make a huge difference in the overall temperature. It is a nice way of getting the comfort you want without having to jump into replacing your entire system right away.
